Will Housing Inventory EVER Increase Again? Homes For Sale Near Record LOWS

There are a record low number of home sales this spring compared to the last 15 years of national home sales. This is because of uncertainty in the economy as well as many sellers who are not going to sell their home because of extremely low interest rates that they have. When will housing inventory increase?

It looks like the summer and fall of 2023 will have housing inventory increase, but it is likely that home prices could start climbing again next year as many economists predicted that the housing market would stabilize and go back to more normal appreciation.

The housing forecast for 2024 is that we should have home prices appreciate the way they do in a normal year and mortgage rates will likely be 4 or 5% which is a reasonable amount.
