In most cases, home shown by appointment only are bad for the homeowners because buyers may not be able to schedule around them. Also many buyers feel that homes shown by appointment only have difficult sellers and they may be unreasonable when trying to buy the house.
Also many buyers and their agents do not want the home owner there during the showing because it limits their ability to talk about what they like about the house and talk about terms of potential purchase offers.
