What types of properties to Investors prefer to buy? Todd and Oana talk about the types of homes that investors are looking for whether they are local investors or out of town investors. While traditionally most real estate investors have sought out older homes in established neighborhoods closer to the center of a city, there is a growing trend of out of state investors who are looking to buy either newer homes or brand new construction.

A concern of property owners is that older homes might have more repairs required over time that would cut into potential profits. Newer homes would not have that problem. Some investors prefer condos because of less yard to worry about, but the monthly HOA fees can cut into the net proceeds as well.
