The Real Reason Tenants get Evicted: Why Landlords Evict Tenants

A chart showing the reasons tenants get evicted by landlords and how not to get thrown out of your rental. Being evicted is painful for not only the tenant but also the landlord as it creates a hostile environment for both. It also leads to economic losses for both parties as the landlord doesn’t get rent and the tenant loses security deposits. Missing a rent payment doesn’t make for a bad tenant and evicting doesn’t make for a rogue landlord.

The main reason landlords evict tenants are because of lack of payment or late payments. Even tenants who pay rent on time get evicted if they become a nuisance or violate the terms of their lease, like using the property for an AirBnb or other short term rental or sub-lease the house.
