Are real estate agents obsolete?
An ongoing debate, because in 1997 the head of NAR said agents would be obsolete in 10 years, and here it is, 21 years later and even more homes sell with agents!
A recent settlement between the National Association of Realtors as well as the Department of Justice have made it easier for real estate agents to not have to be Realtors and join the association of Realtors because Realtors can’t ban non-Realtors from commissions on properties in the MLS. also all homes for sale have to have full access to all agents, not just realtors.
